About the St. John the Baptist Greek Food Festival
Celebrating America 250
Welcome to one of the most beloved and well-known food festivals in the Las Vegas area. For three unforgettable days, we invite you to experience the flavors, music, and traditions of Greece in a vibrant celebration of culture, faith, and community.
Hosted by the parish family of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, our annual festival offers an authentic and welcoming experience. From the moment you arrive, you are surrounded by the aromas of freshly prepared cuisine, the sounds of live Greek music, and the joy of traditional dancing passed down through generations.
At the heart of our festival is the food. Our parishioners prepare a wide array of traditional Greek dishes using time-honored recipes rooted in family and faith. From savory favorites to handcrafted pastries and desserts, each offering reflects the warmth and hospitality that define Greek culture.
Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy live music and folk dancing, explore a marketplace of vendors offering unique goods and artisan items, and participate in guided tours of our church. These tours provide a meaningful opportunity to experience the beauty, reverence, and spiritual depth of the Orthodox Christian faith.
This year, we are especially proud to celebrate America 250, marking the founding of our nation. As we reflect on this milestone, we honor the many cultures that have shaped our country, including the enduring contributions of Greek Americans. With roots tracing back to the ancient Greeks—whose influence in democracy, philosophy, mathematics, and the arts helped form the foundations of modern society—their legacy continues to enrich the American story.
More than an event, our festival is an expression of community. It is a place where friendships are formed, traditions are shared, and the spirit of fellowship is alive. For many, it is a cherished annual tradition. For first-time visitors, it is an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
We invite you to gather with us, to celebrate over three days of festivities, and to enjoy the food, the music, and the welcoming spirit that define who we are.
We look forward to welcoming you.
